These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website hostbnb.ca (the "Site") and any booking of short-term rentals through Hostbnb Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"). By making a booking or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Booking and Payment

Booking Confirmation: A booking is confirmed when we receive full payment and you receive a confirmation email. Until confirmed, availability and rates may change without notice.

Payment Terms: Full payment must be made at the time of booking. We accept payments via credit card and e-transfer. For e-transfers, payment must be completed within [insert timeframe] of the booking request, or the reservation may be cancelled.

Pricing: Prices listed on our website are subject to change. Once a booking is confirmed, the price will not change unless you modify the booking.

Security Deposit: A refundable $200 security deposit is required for all bookings. If paying via e-transfer, the deposit must be received 24 hours before your arrival date. If paying by credit card, the deposit will be charged on the day of your arrival. The deposit will be refunded within 24 hours of your departure, provided there is no damage to the property.

Check-In and Check-Out

Check-In: Check-in time is 4 pm, and you will be provided with detailed check-in instructions upon confirmation of your booking.

Check-Out: Check-out time is 11 am. Late check-outs may result in additional charges.

Early Check-In or Late Check-Out: These may be arranged, subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Please get in touch with us at info@hostbnb.ca 

Cancellations and Refunds

Guest Cancellations:

Cancellations made 30 days or more before check-in will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made between 14 and 30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable.

Host Cancellations:

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund. However, we are not responsible for any other costs or damages incurred as a result of the cancellation.

House Rules

By booking with us, you agree to comply with the property's house rules, which include but are not limited to:

No smoking inside the property.

No parties or events without prior approval.

Respectful noise levels to avoid disturbing neighbours.

Maximum occupancy limits must be adhered to.

Failure to comply with the house rules may result in eviction without refund and forfeiture of the security deposit.

Liability and Damages

Damages: You are responsible for any damage caused to the property or its contents during your stay. If damages exceed the security deposit, you will be charged the additional amount.

Personal Liability: Hostbnb Inc. is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur on the property during your stay, nor for the loss of personal belongings or valuables.

Guest Responsibilities

Compliance with Laws: You must comply with all local laws and regulations during your stay.

Cleanliness: The property must be left in the same condition as when you arrived, aside from normal cleaning. Excessive mess or negligence may result in additional cleaning fees.

Use of the Property

The rental property is for residential use only. Commercial activities are not permitted without prior consent.

Pets: Pets are allowed only in properties where stated. Guests are responsible for any damage caused by pets.

Force Majeure

Hostbnb Inc. is not liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, or government actions.

Modifications to Your Booking

Booking Modifications: Any request to modify your booking (e.g., change of dates, unit, or number of guests) must be made at least 14 days in advance. Modifications are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

Termination of Stay

We reserve the right to terminate your stay without notice if you or any member of your party violates these Terms, the house rules, or engages in illegal or inappropriate behaviour. In such cases, no refund will be provided, and you may be charged for any damages.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

Hostbnb Inc. reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for any updates.
